INFORMAÇÃO SOBRE SALÁRIO-FAMÍLIA

 

 

Prezado Associado,

 

As entidades empresariais, com objetivo de prestar informações aos seus associados, vêm através desta, esclarecer algumas dúvidas referentes ao SALÁRIO-FAMÍLIA.

 

O salário-família é uma cota paga mensalmente ao empregado pela empresa à qual está vinculado e deduzido do recolhimento das contribuições pagas ao INSS sobre a folha salarial. Tem direito quem recebe até R$ 654,67 e tem filho(a) de até 14 (quatorze anos) de idade ou inválido de qualquer idade, devendo ser solicitado pelo empregado mediante a apresentação dos seguintes documentos:

 

  • Requerimento de salário-família;

 

  • Carteira de trabalho e previdência social;

 

  • Certidão de nascimento do(a) filho(a);

 

  • Comprovação em caso de filho com invalidez emitida pelo INSS para dependentes maiores de 14 anos.

 

No entanto, a legislação vigente obriga ao empregador a manter em seus arquivos alguns documentos solicitados junto ao empregado para proceder o devido pagamento do salário-família, são eles:

 

  • Caderneta de vacinação ou documento equivalente, quando o filho for menor de 07 anos, solicitando do empregado todo mês de novembro;

 

  • Comprovante de freqüência escolar para filhos com idade a partir de 07 anos, solicitando do empregado nos meses de maio e novembro de cada ano.

 

Caso não sejam apresentados os documentos solicitados nos prazos determinados, o pagamento do salário-família deve ser suspenso, até que a documentação seja apresentada. Ressaltamos que as empresas ao descumprir as exigências legais, estarão sujeitas às penalidades aplicadas pelo INSS.
