para atender novas exigências
Sr(a). Empresário(a),
O comércio varejista de todo País tem até dia 20 de dezembro de 2006, para se adequar ao decreto nº. 5.903/2006, que estabelece novas regras para a informação dos preços dos produtos aos consumidores. Os empresários devem ficar atentos, já que a multa pode variar de 200 vezes até 3 milhões de vezes o valor da UFIR. Oito itens configuram infrações ao direito básico à informação adequada e clara sobre os diferentes produtos e serviços e estão sujeitos à multa:
û utilizar letras cujo tamanho não seja uniforme ou dificulte a percepção da informação, considerada a distância normal de visualização do consumidor;
û expor preços com as cores das letras e do fundo idêntico ou semelhante;
û utilizar caracteres apagados, rasurados ou borrados;
û informar preços apenas em parcelas, obrigando o consumidor ao cálculo do total;
û informar preços em moeda estrangeira, desacompanhados de sua conversão em moeda corrente nacional, em caracteres de igual ou superior destaque;
û utilizar referência que deixa dúvida quanto à identificação do item ao qual se refere;
û atribuir preços distintos para o mesmo item; e
û expor informação redigida na vertical ou outro ângulo que dificulte a percepção.
